                    B5 Material decomposition in clinical dual-energy CT (DECT)

                    Using material decomposition algorithms in dual-energy CT, it is possible to extract quantitative information about material densities. This plays a crucial role in determining bone mineral densities, iodine densities, etc. in clinical CT systems. New diagnostic applications like quantitative myocardial perfusion imaging or osteoporosis detection in DECT data may be potential applications.
